These pages are designed for use to aid discipleship among Christians through individual Bible study, Cell groups, Home groups, or for meeting one to one. If you wish, you could use the questions, while leaving the group to choose their own translation of the Bible.

Make Disciples
Making disciples involves a mix of teaching the word and showing how to live and how to serve.
Often people setting out to make disciples are so caught up with the teaching side that the showing is seriously neglected.
It is in showing how to live that people move from the theory to the reality.
It is in demonstrations of living as a disciple that people see that they can go beyond what is ‘realistic’ because God will intervene to rescue. This is the hallmark of a life of faith, which is after all what discipleship is really about.
Discipleship is not just some private set of life choices. There must also be service. This too is an area that is often neglected. It takes more work to set someone up to serve than it does to do it yourself. If your major concern is making things happen, then you will never show people how to serve. The concern is not how much ministry is done, but it is the development of God’s people. Only when people serve, can they be exposed to the place of weakness and need which will bring them to dependence on God.
