These pages are designed for use to aid discipleship among Christians through individual Bible study, Cell groups, Home groups, or for meeting one to one. If you wish, you could use the questions, while leaving the group to choose their own translation of the Bible.

Help for New Christians - Next Steps
Having gone through the basics of the Christian life, you are now ready for the next section - the Discipleship section. This section goes through some of the key elements of what Christianity is about by presenting you with the relevant Bible text and letting you make the discoveries. There are a few ways of doing this. You can go to the click on discoveries on the top bar and explore. Alternatively you could use this page as a starting place and go with my choice of some key topics.

In becoming a Christian a new life has begun in you! The life of God, by His Spirit is at work in you. Any life needs feeding. With neglect life becomes impoverished, so how do you nurture this new life? Fundamentally, the new life is nurtured through engaging with God through His Word, and through Praying to Him. This page and the ones that follow on Prayer and Getting into the Word will help you make a start. A key element to this is what Christians call a Quiet Time or Devotional Time.
The Bible tells us to add to your faith goodness. Having started to nurture your spiritual life, the next port of call is to start building on it. The start point here is to do what you know is good. This can at times seem risky, but this is the essence of a life of faith.
As you begin to read the Bible, your understanding of what good is will begin to change. So, that same passage (2 Peter 1:5-9 NIV) goes on, “add to your ... goodness knowledge.” That is good, and there is no need to wait till you are perfect to start. If you are going completely wrong the Lord will help you to sort that out as well.
To give you some pages to look at in order to explore what is good, here are some to start.
